    This luggage tag broke the first time I used it, and that was with my carry-on luggage. I took the bag out of the overhead bin, and this is what I found (see photo). The cable sheared off at the fastener. I have several plastic luggage tags that I’ve used for years which bend/stretch under duress; these just break. I dread to think what would happen if used on a checked bag.

    These look good, but they always get destroyed and fall off. Because they are metal they deform and do not bounce back. I’ve bought several and they ALWAYS get destroyed and/or fall off. The plastic tags don’t look as good, but plastic last.
