The luggage straps come in a plastic bag. The item I received had no instruction included in the back.

The item though is fairly simple to use. I would suggest printing the product page in order to understand how to set the combination lock for this strap. The strap has a buckle system which when you press the side buttons the two portions separate. However, by setting the lock this opening of the buckle is prevented if you set the combination correctly. To set the code, with the combo on the default. Turn the buckle over and make the switch move to B. Then set your desired code. Then once set, change to switch A. Then set your code and the buckle should open. In order to securely fit the strap around the luggage, make sure the strap around the luggage is the tightest possible. This will ensure it will not slide off. The luggage. I have tried this on fabric luggage and this item works well. I have not tried on hardback luggage. The item provided slide resistant secured closure just like a lock but be mindful you may still be able to open the bag as this does prevent your zippers from being opened. The item does cause your luggage to be visible especially if you choose a nonblack color. The belt straps can be used horizontally or vertically as you desire.
Overall, a nice item to have to supplement locks if you are using them as well. Also the ability to reset the combination code and durability of the lock itself and ability to spot your luggage on the belt since not many people own these yet.

ELASTRAAP Superior Strength NON-SLIP with TSA Combination Lock Luggage Strap with TSA approved lock is made very sturdy and strong. With most travelers having black bags, it drives me crazy when I can’t find my bag amongst the sea of black bags on the conveyor belt. It is also a good way to lose your bag if someone picks it up by mistake. I resorted to buying a red set of luggage, but discovered that red gets very stained while going through the conveyor belts and being chucked in the underbelly of the airplane. So now I am back to my black suitcases.

The ELASTRAAP has a distinct black band with a bright red stripe running down the middle of strap. This strap makes your bag stand out from that sea of black bags. The strap is about two inches wide and up to 80 inches long when fully expanded.

The strap has a three digit combination lock that can be set to your own secret code. The key lock on the buckle allows TSA to open your bag if they need to without cutting the strap off. It is now regulation that you can only have a TSA approved lock (with the TSA approved symbol) on your bags when checking them.

One thing I did not like is that the strap does not come with instructions. I know we are trying to be a greener planet, but a line or two instructing me how to set the lock would have been nice. I expected it to be on the wrap or an insert. I did figure it out after examining the lock for a minute and it is very simple.

To change the lock:
1. Set the lock to the current combination (pre-set to 000).
2. On the back of the lock, there is a backward L slot that has a metal pin in it. Move the pin to the ‘B’ slot.
3. Set the lock to the new three-digit combination that you can remember.
4. Move the pin back to the ‘A’ slot to set the combination.

Pretty easy but you do have to look closely to find it. The strap is easy to fit and put around your suitcase. Simply wrap it around the length of the suitcase and adjust the strap to fit. I put the strap through the handle on the suitcase to ensure it does not disappear.

Overall, I really like this strap. It is easy to use and set the three digit combination lock, as well as TSA approved. I recommend this to anyone who flies the friendly skies.
